Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Jazz Piano Master, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these Terms, you are prohibited from using this app. If you are using the app on behalf of another person, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on their behalf.

Educational Purpose Only

Jazz Piano Master is an educational app designed to teach jazz piano concepts, theory, and practice techniques. The content is for informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute professional music instruction. Results may vary based on individual effort and prior experience.

AI Coach Disclaimer

Important Notice About AI Features

The AI coaching feature is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. The AI coach:

Is NOT a replacement for professional music instruction
May provide inaccurate or incomplete information
Should not be relied upon as the sole source of music education
Does not guarantee improvement in musical ability
May generate responses that are factually incorrect

Users are encouraged to verify information with qualified music instructors and professionals. The AI coach's responses are computer-generated and may not reflect actual music education best practices. Use at your own discretion.

The AI coach ("Chick") is an original fictional character and is not a real person. References within the app to real musicians and their recordings, styles, or techniques are made solely for educational and informational purposes. Jazz Piano Master is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any artist, artist estate, or rights holder mentioned in the app.

Acceptable Use / User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

Use the app for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
Abuse the AI coaching feature (spam, harassment, or generating harmful content)
Share your account credentials with others
Upload malicious content or viruses
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or extract content
Circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access controls
Violate intellectual property rights

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your access to Jazz Piano Master.

Intellectual Property

All content in Jazz Piano Master, including but not limited to courses, lessons, quizzes, voicing charts, arrangements, graphics, logos, user interface design, and software source code, is owned by CP Global Dynamics LLC or its licensors and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The educational content is authored by Vladan Mijatovic, a professional jazz pianist and educator, and is published and owned by CP Global Dynamics LLC.

The Jazz Piano Master name, logo, app icon, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of CP Global Dynamics LLC. You must not use such marks without our prior written permission.

Content License and Restrictions

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and any applicable subscription requirements, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to:

Access and use Jazz Piano Master on devices you own or control
View, study, and practice with the educational content provided within the app
Take personal notes on lesson content for your own private educational use

You may NOT:

Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any course content, lesson text, voicing charts, or educational materials
Record, screenshot, or screen-capture content for redistribution
Use content to create competing educational products or services
Share your account credentials to give others access to premium content
Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright notices or proprietary markings
Sublicense, sell, resell, transfer, or assign your access to any third party

This license terminates automatically if you violate any of these restrictions or if your account is terminated for any reason. Upon termination, you must destroy all copies of any content obtained from the app.

Note on Musical Concepts: While Jazz Piano Master's specific text, arrangements, and presentation are copyrighted, general jazz theory concepts (e.g., the existence of a ii-V-I progression, standard chord voicings in common use) are part of the public domain of musical knowledge. Our copyright applies to our specific expression, arrangement, and educational presentation of these concepts.

Copyright Policy and DMCA Procedures

Jazz Piano Master respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Copyright Ownership: All content is owned by CP Global Dynamics LLC or its licensors and is protected under United States and international copyright law, including:

All course curricula, lesson text, quizzes, and educational materials
Jazz piano voicing charts, chord progressions, and arrangements
App interface design, graphics, icons, and visual elements
Software source code and underlying technology
The selection, arrangement, and coordination of all content

DMCA Takedown Notices: If you believe content infringes your copyright, submit a written notice to our designated agent including:

A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
Identification of the infringing material with sufficient detail to locate it
Your contact information (name, address, telephone, email)
A good-faith belief statement that the use is not authorized
A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate

Designated DMCA Agent: Send notices to CP Global Dynamics LLC, 425 N Doheny Dr, Apt 2, Beverly Hills, CA 90210, USA, Attention: DMCA Agent, by email to support@jazzpianomaster.com (Subject: "DMCA Takedown Notice"). A designated agent is in the process of being registered with the United States Copyright Office; until that registration is complete, notices sent to the contact above will be received and acted upon.

Counter-Notification: If you believe content was wrongly removed, you may submit a counter-notification that includes your physical or electronic signature, identification of the removed material and its prior location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the United States, any district in which we may be found). We may restore the removed material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action.

Misrepresentation Warning: Under 17 U.S.C. Section 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages.

Repeat Infringers: We will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.

Copyright Notices

Jazz Piano Master, including all course content, lesson text, voicing charts, quizzes, arrangements, graphics, user interface design, and software code, is the copyrighted work of CP Global Dynamics LLC. No portion may be reproduced, distributed, adapted, transmitted, or otherwise used without express written permission, except as permitted under the fair use doctrine or these Terms.

The following trademarks are the property of CP Global Dynamics LLC: Jazz Piano Master (name), Jazz Piano Master logo and app icon.

All other trademarks referenced in the app are the property of their respective owners. Apple, App Store, iOS, iPhone, and iPad are trademarks of Apple Inc. Google, Google Play, and Android are trademarks of Google LLC.

User-Generated Content and AI Interactions

When you use Jazz Piano Master, you may create or submit content including AI coaching chat messages, practice notes, and profile information ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the license below.

License Grant: By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, store, and transmit your User Content solely for:

Providing the Jazz Piano Master services (including transmitting AI chat messages to providers)
Maintaining and improving the app
Complying with legal obligations

AI Chat Messages: Messages sent to the AI coaching feature are transmitted to our third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI/Grok) for processing, after you give explicit consent in the app. These providers may use your messages according to their own terms and privacy policies. Do not share sensitive personal information in AI chat.

AI-Generated Content: Responses from the AI coach are provided for educational purposes only. Neither you nor we claim copyright ownership of AI-generated outputs. Similar responses may be generated for other users.

Prohibited Content: You may not submit content that is illegal, threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes third-party rights. We may remove any content at our sole discretion.

Subscriptions, Billing, and Auto-Renewal

Jazz Piano Master offers the following premium purchase options. The localized price and terms shown by the App Store or Google Play confirmation sheet before you approve a purchase are authoritative:

Monthly Subscription: $19.99 USD reference price per month in the United States, billed monthly and auto-renewing.
Annual Subscription: $99.99 USD reference price per year in the United States, billed annually and auto-renewing.
Lifetime Access: $299.99 USD reference price in the United States. This is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that does not auto-renew and grants permanent Premium access within the Jazz Piano Master app through the purchasing Apple or Google account.

Free-Trial Eligibility: Eligible new subscribers may receive a 7-day free trial on Monthly or Annual. Prior, current, refunded, or otherwise ineligible subscribers may be charged immediately. The store confirmation sheet states whether a trial applies before you approve the transaction.

Auto-Renewal Notice

Monthly and Annual subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID or Google Play account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price. If offered, any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Changing Plans: Monthly and Annual changes are processed by Apple or Google under the store's timing and proration rules. Buying Lifetime does not automatically cancel an existing subscription. Turn off auto-renewal for the subscription before buying Lifetime to prevent a later renewal.

How to Cancel:

iOS: Open Settings > tap your name > Subscriptions > Jazz Piano Master > Cancel Subscription
Android: Open Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > Jazz Piano Master > Cancel

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to premium features until the period you paid for ends.

Refunds: All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective refund policies. To request a refund:

Price Changes: Subscription prices may change with reasonable advance notice. Existing subscription periods are honored at the original price. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

Lifetime Purchases: Lifetime means the Premium entitlement for this Jazz Piano Master app does not expire and can be restored through the purchasing store account. It includes the Premium content and features made available within this app, but it does not promise uninterrupted service forever or include a separately sold future app, product, or service.

Account Deletion: Deleting your Jazz Piano Master account does not cancel billing at Apple or Google. Cancel any renewable subscription in your store account first. A later account may recover eligible store purchases through Restore Purchases, subject to the store and RevenueCat identity rules.

AI Usage Limits

The AI coaching feature is limited to 30 messages per user per day to manage costs and prevent abuse. This limit resets daily at midnight UTC. We reserve the right to modify these limits at any time without notice.

Service Availability and Modifications

Jazz Piano Master is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access at all times. Service may be disrupted by:

Scheduled or unscheduled maintenance
Third-party service provider outages (Supabase, OpenAI, Apple, Google)
Network or infrastructure issues beyond our control
Software updates or upgrades

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time, including:

Changing, updating, or removing course content
Modifying AI coaching capabilities, providers, models, or daily limits
Adding or removing features

We shall not be liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the app.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

We are NOT liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
We are NOT liable for loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
We are NOT liable for damages arising from use of the AI coaching feature
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim

You use this app at your own risk. We make NO WARRANTIES about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content or AI-generated responses. The app is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

No Professional Advice

Content in this app does not constitute professional music instruction, career advice, or medical advice (regarding practice-related injuries). Always consult with qualified professionals for personalized guidance.

Account Termination

Termination by You: You may terminate your account at any time by emailing support@jazzpianomaster.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request." Account termination does not automatically cancel active subscriptions — you must cancel through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store separately.

Termination by Us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if:

You violate any provision of these Terms
You engage in harmful, threatening, or abusive conduct
You attempt to circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access controls
You use the app for any unlawful purpose
We are required to do so by law
We reasonably believe your account has been compromised

Effect of Termination:

Your right to access the app and premium content terminates immediately
Server-side data will be scheduled for deletion within 30 days
Purchase records may be retained for up to 7 years for legal compliance
Locally stored data remains on your device until you uninstall the app
You will not be entitled to any refund of prepaid subscription fees, except as required by applicable law or Apple/Google refund policies

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CP Global Dynamics LLC, its members, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates, from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the app, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Subject to the arbitration agreement below, you and CP Global Dynamics LLC agree that any dispute that is not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Binding Individual Arbitration: Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Jazz Piano Master service shall be resolved through final and binding arbitration on an individual basis, administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be conducted by a single arbitrator via telephone, video conference, or written submissions, and shall be seated in Los Angeles County, California.

Arbitration Fees: For claims under $10,000, we will pay all arbitration filing and administrative fees beyond the amount you would have paid to file in court. For claims of $10,000 or more, fees shall be allocated according to the AAA rules.

Small Claims Exception: Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes within that court's jurisdiction.

Mass-Arbitration Protocol: If 25 or more similar arbitration demands are submitted against us by or with the coordination of the same or coordinated counsel, those demands shall be administered as a mass arbitration under the AAA's Mass Arbitration Supplementary Rules (or the equivalent rules then in effect). The parties shall use the AAA's batching and bellwether procedures, and any applicable fee schedules for mass filings, so that representative cases are resolved first and their outcomes inform the remaining demands. Before commencing any arbitration, a party must first send a written notice of dispute to the other and allow 60 days to resolve the claim informally.

CLASS ACTION AND JURY TRIAL WAIVER:

YOU AND CP GLOBAL DYNAMICS LLC AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.
THE ARBITRATOR MAY NOT CONSOLIDATE CLAIMS OR PRESIDE OVER ANY FORM OF CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
YOU WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY AND THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION.

Opt-Out Right: You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@jazzpianomaster.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, with your name, email, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out.

Injunctive Relief: Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief from a court to protect intellectual property rights or confidential information.

Apple App Store — Additional Terms

The following additional terms apply if you download or use Jazz Piano Master from the Apple App Store. In the event of a conflict between these terms and the rest of these Terms, these additional terms control for the iOS version of the app.

Acknowledgement: These Terms are an agreement between you and CP Global Dynamics LLC only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). CP Global Dynamics LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
Scope of License: The license granted to you for the app is a non-transferable license to use the app on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the app may be accessed by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
Maintenance and Support: CP Global Dynamics LLC is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the app. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the app.
Warranty: CP Global Dynamics LLC is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any) for the app; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
Product Claims: CP Global Dynamics LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
Intellectual Property Rights: In the event of any third-party claim that the app or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, CP Global Dynamics LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
Legal Compliance: You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Developer Name and Address: Questions, complaints, or claims about the app should be directed to CP Global Dynamics LLC, 425 N Doheny Dr, Apt 2, Beverly Hills, CA 90210, USA, support@jazzpianomaster.com.
Third-Party Terms: You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the app (for example, your wireless data service agreement).
Third-Party Beneficiary: Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

General Provisions

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Jazz Piano Master regarding use of the app and supersede all prior agreements.

Severability: If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions continue in full force. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable, the entire arbitration agreement shall be null and void (but the rest of these Terms remains in effect).

Waiver: Failure to enforce any right or provision shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Force Majeure: We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes outside our reasonable control, including acts of God, pandemics, war, internet or telecommunications failures, third-party service provider outages (such as Supabase, our AI providers OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI, RevenueCat, Apple, and Google), or government actions.

Notices: We may provide notices via email, in-app notification, or this page. You may contact us at support@jazzpianomaster.com.

Survival: The following sections survive termination: Intellectual Property, Content License, Copyright Policy, User-Generated Content, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law, and General Provisions.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified within the app. Your continued use of Jazz Piano Master after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
