Give it a progression and it writes new harmony for it, then plays each version for you. It is built on Prismatic Harmony, Vladan Mijatovic's method. The Clockwork Walk, which offers substitute dominant chords a minor third or a tritone away, is free; the Engine's other methods come with Premium.

Twelve relatives, one seed
A four-note diminished chord splits the octave into equal parts: the gold diamond at the center. Nudge any note a half-step and you land on a relative: down → a dominant, up → a minor-6, a pair → a major-6.

With the Complete Beginner Path. It starts from zero, it is free, and it was written for complete beginners and for classical pianists coming to jazz.
Does it listen to me play, or connect to a keyboard?
No. The app does not use your microphone and does not connect to a MIDI keyboard. You play along on your own piano while the app shows and plays each chord on its on-screen keyboard.
How does the free trial work?
